If the swimming pool and facilities for your HOA pool is not ADA compliant by March 15, 2012 you have the right to file a claim with the United States Department of Justice. The Civil Rights Division of the DOJ enforces the Civil Rights Acts; the Voting Rights Act; the Equal Credit Opportunity Act; the Americans with Disabilities Act; the National Voter Registration Act; the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act; the Voting Accessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act; and additional civil rights provisions contained in other laws and regulations. These laws prohibit discrimination in public accommodations and facilities.
